I had a problem with a rear strut that Groff's had replaced just over a year ago. They checked it out, found that it was defective and replaced it. I was called when the work was done and was told that they heard a minor noise from the other rear strut and were going to replace it was well. This was done timely and at no cost. It may seem like this is what Groff's should have done, but I feel they went out of their way to make sure everything was correct. Groff's probably could have put off replacing the strut since it wasn't a noticeable problem but they took the time to do the right thing. I've always had great service and workmanship at Groff's.

I took my car here because I heard they are a great automotive repair company with reasonable rates. I had my R&P repaired and a month later my fuel pump. Dave was very straightforward in estimates/cost and did not make any promises he could not deliver on. Thanks guys.

Thank you Joetta! It doesn't do a shop any good to sell something you don't need. We're all about changing the reputation of the industry and would rather educate our clients than alienate. Your trust is more important to us and we look forward to assisting you again in the future.

First time customer. It was recommended by another business. First thing I noticed when I dropped off my vehicle was that the front area and shop was very tidy and squared away. They did a full inspection and told me what need immediate attention and what could wait. The man behind the counter, Dave, was very friendly. The second thing I noticed was that the company has been in business since 1956. That speaks volumes. A company isn't going to still be in business for that long if they are not any good. I also received a 10% discount, which was a nice surprise. They have my business for and I would recommend checking them out if your looking for a good honest place to take your vehicle.

Prior to getting my 2000 Cherokee to Groff's Automotive, I'd been chasing symptoms. My steering or suspension systems, or something, were just not functioning properly. Especially at higher speeds, keeping in my lane on the highway was unwieldy and unsafe. Traveling to Denver every Friday, going through the construction areas (the “narrows”) was, oh, invigorating. I'd checked Angie's List for good repair shops, had taken my Jeep to Hellem's for work on this, along with a couple other places. Hellem's is great but awful busy (last I knew, a few years ago). The last place replaced a bunch of suspension stuff and I still had trouble. Finally, I called FN Jeep, thinking they repaired Jeeps and, if not, could recommend where to go. The owner said: Jack's Alignment and Groff's Automotive, as that's where he takes his vehicles. I read some reviews, including on AngiesList.com (which I value for better accuracy) and found a couple troubling reviews on Groff's (only one on Angie's). I called the FN Jeep owner again, who told me they're stand up guys, the owner's name, and Groff's is where he takes his Jeeps when the work gets beyond him. So that's where I went, despite it being a long way from home (just south of Bradley on Hancock and I'm in Briargate). Dave test drove my Jeep, noting that the steering was wrong; it wouldn't return to center after a turn. They re-did part of the work done earlier and also something I'd done some years ago, which could have been poorly done. One part was key to steering and the other was a suspension component. Dave patiently explained how steering gears need to be handled with care to keep aligned properly. He went over what was done, how it drove afterwards, answered my various questions, and even went over what's typical in the industry when work is done improperly (I'd asked about the feasibility of going back to the previous shop on their warranty). In any case, I've now found a shop I can trust when work gets beyond what I can do. Thanks, Janice Mc.
